The camel safari runs two ways: a 3-hour sunset ride if you want to be back for the night, or a full overnight stay at a tented desert camp if you don't. Stay over and you get folk music and dance around the campfire, a proper desert dinner under the stars, and a sunrise breakfast on the dunes the next morning. Either way, you leave mid-afternoon for the Sam dunes, about 45 minutes out.
